Tom Hamilton
FOUNDER & CEO
Tom Hamilton has spent the past 50 years designing aircraft and developing new technology for the aerospace industry. Out of college he founded Stoddard Hamilton Aircraft in which he designed and produced the high performance and highly popular Glasair and Glastar series experimental aircraft. In the mid 1980’s, Tom started Aerocet Inc., successfully completing a contract with the Navy and Boeing to manufacture military aviation stand-off weapon test vehicles. After concluding that contract, Tom developed a product line of composite aircraft floats which Aerocet produces today under Tom’s ownership. Aerocet now holds 23 separate certifications from the FAA in addition to a patent Tom holds for FAA certified amphibious aircraft wheels. In 1999, Tom started Quest Aircraft to develop and produce the Kodiak ten-place turboprop aircraft. The Kodiak received an FAA type certificate in 2007, and the company has gone on to produce over 330 aircraft to date. Tom continues his career in aircraft design with the Reach Aviation AC6 aircraft.
